| Stone Powered Electricity |
 Stone powered electricity is a revolutionary environmentally friendly concept. This simple yet amazing machine produces electricity from falling materials and also has many other amazing yet cost saving benefits. Most engineers would agree that to have a vibratory feeder at the end of every conveyor would be the perfect option. Obviously this would be financially impossible, SPE offers exactly this and the bye product is electricity! By fitting SPE you eliminate the need for intricate chute designs, dead boxes and liners/deflector plates etc that can drop out and slice the conveyor belt. SPE works using the same concept as a hydro electric plant, it uses the height and volume of the falling material to produce electricity. The difference is that SPE replaces the use of water with stones.
If SPE is fitted: 1 The chute can be manufactured with straight / vertical sides – resulting in huge manufacturing cost saving. 2 As stones hit the paddle wheel from the feed conveyor all impact / kinetic energy is absorbed to produce the electricity. 3 The stone is slowed down considerably so the stone is placed on the fed conveyor as a feeder would. 4 The life of the fed conveyor is extended as SPE eliminates the likelihood of impact damage. 5 The bye product is electricity! Amazing! 6 Also it is carbon neutral, so all quarries, mines etc can save on carbon costs.
From 2010 all quarries will be charged circa £12 per tonne of carbon produced.
SPE can dramatically reduce this if fitted on the end of every conveyor.
